Jeopardy Game...

This one is an old one but a great one. I use Jeopardy Powerpoint in my classroom all the time. It's really simple and great for a review. I put students into pairs and ask them to play against each other keeping score. Then I email the Jeopardy game to them. Or you can play it as a classroom with you running the program and splitting the class.

On a roll - Prezi....

I've been teaching Prezi, the presentation software to my students in Grades 8 - 12. I have also been teaching it to my fellow colleagues. And this is what I've been handing out to them to help them get started. The presentation program is fun, excellent for concept mapping as well as just plain image mapping. FaceBook and it's security

Thinking of teaching Facebook to my Grade 10 students in my Information Technology class this coming year. It's not a "if you can't beat them, join them" idea. It's more of I need to teach them the safety of the Internet and with Facebook always being used (inside school and outside if we're all truthful about this), then we need to think about teaching the students about the new privacy setting that been created on it.

Starting the process of of setting this up...

While you would think this site is easy to use, unfortunately it's not that simple. I've been reading about Bloglines, and it seems to me exactly what I needed. A place where all my blogs can be gathered together so I can go to only one spot to get all the information I want, and read at my leisure. Instead of 50 million bookmarks to click on (OK so I'm exaggeration but pretty darn close to it), and going through my Delicious Account to access one at a time, I thought this would make it simpler… Continue
