My 14-year-old daughter noticed that I was using my real picture on this group and said let me know that she didn't think it was a smart thing for me to do, considering what I've been telling her. That's why I have a new image made with Photoshop filters. It's nice to know that my kids listen to me once in a while.... for seconds at a time.

Of course, there are pics of her on Facebook taken by her friends and anyone can copy and save them! I've made sure that she's enabled…

I received an e-mail from one of my lists - Safekids. In it was a blurb about a case in which a court ordered that a middle-school student who was put on probation for criticizing a principal on Myspace in an "expletive-laden entry " has the right of free-speech. Earlier, a judge had declared the remarks obscene. I would like to formally study educational technology through a Canadian on-line course however not too many of these exist. The great irony is that I e-mailed the director of one program and haven't heard back after a month. On-line, hu?
