Saywire.com Safe All in one web 2.0 solution for schools

Hi folks,

As we evolve in this new communication medium, we are all getting used to online social networking and what it means for building relationships, collaborating and business.

I want to be completely honest up front, I am here in classroom 2.0 to get your feedback and thoughts about a new software platform that provides a safe social networking enviroment for schools.

The platform is at www.saywire.com

Please let me know if I am out of line by participating as a vendor. I have checked Steve's notes on this and he says he removed a vendor that had nothing to do with classroom 2.0 but I did not see a policy on vendors that do have to do with it.

We at Saywire are proud to be a part of the web 2.0 movement and are here to help build and grow the community. We will be participating in the discussions and appreciate your feedback on our software.

I am here to learn, in the same way you are, about how these new tools will help us move forward as students, teachers, administrators and parents.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to your thoughts.

We are just now beginning to implement Saywire. The sales people and staff are wonderful to work with, the cost is minimal, and it is easy to use. They are adding some new updates soon. One update is a 50 seat vitrual meeting room with video/audio capability. It is an additional $100 per year for access to this feature, however. My staff and I took part in a book study utilizing a chat room created in Saywire. It worked very well and was a great way to get staff to take part in staff development during the summer. We actually began our teacher training today and they give "unlimited" free webinars to train teachers, staff, etc. I had some teachers that were very excited about using the product. Others...not so much :) I think once the students get a taste of Saywire, they will push their teachers to utilize all of the features of the product. I am thrilled with it so far.
