CR20 - A New Environment for Me!

I have been bloging at http://www.tnprater1006.wordpress.com since last September but I think I am going to try and give Classroom 2.0 a try. I am currently working on a second Masters degree in Education Technology and one of the courses I am taking is challenging the students to investigate social networking sites (SNS). I have tried different sites such as dogster.com and twitter and I am just not sure either site is exactly what I am looking for. I really need a good site that will help me when I need information about certain topics. With dogster.com, I can communicate with individuals that are dog lovers such as myself and find out necessary info regarding my Abby. With Twitter, I really don't quite know what purpose it serves except to see what certain individuals are doing around the globe. Now, it is time for me to try "on" Classroom 2.0 and see what type of info I can retreive.

As we all know, everyone basically goes through life looking for information. But the type of info I am looking for may not be the info you need. This is because each of us are individuals and we each have our own individual needs. Right now, my need is to locate a site that is designed for high school students to blog with other high school students from around the globe in a structured environment where they can share information about each other's country. If there is anyone out there in CR20 that knows of such a website, please let me know because I am coming up empty handed!
