Can anyone direct me to examples of where students are using mind maps in their blogs? We use Kidspiration and Inspiration at school - Has anyone tried FreeMind and can maps be embedded into blogs?

Mindmeister and Bubbl.us can both be embedded in blogs, I've done it. Mindmeister maps certainly could be shared between a class and worked collaboratively. I've only used them one to one as that's how I teach.

We've also use bubbl.us as a graphic organizer for writing narrative fiction, and embedded it into our wikispace. It was also good after the fact, sort of de-constructing your writing.

My son used Cmap for his 7th grade portfolio. The portfolio itself is made with Cmap and much of the content within the portfolio are his Cmap study notes. He had a blog at the time in which he emedded thumbnail based links to the full-sized concept maps. Though his portofio is still in existence, his blog is gone. He was not fond of blogging though he enjoyed using Cmap as his study tool. You can see his portfolio's main page at http://snipurl.com/tims7thgrade .
Hi Britt most of our students have used bubblus now and it will do basic mindmapping. It would not embed into our blogs though so we used a screen dump. See skippy or there is another one but I will have to research that one.
