Interactive Whiteboards

I teach 5th grade and currently a group of teachers where I work at, myself included, are looking into the possibility of purchasing the Smartboard. I have been teaching for 4 years and I have found that technology integration is a tremendous help with student achievement. I have found some useful and informative videos on Youtube about the use of Interactive Whiteboards. I would love to hear from anyone who is currently using them...tips anyone. Thank you and keep up the great work that you all do.

http://www.prometheanplanet.com is a pretty huge network of teachers - the forum would be a great place to ask questions of other IWB users. It has around 150,000 members at the moment.

I contribute to its blog... and was just looking at doing an article on the Web 2.0 teachers who are mixing those tools with the IWBs.

You're right its like myspace only for educators. Let me know how your project with the smartboard goes. It is a revolutionary tool. The teachers that i have talked who have used it LOVE IT!
