I have not used Open Office a lot in the past, but have recently begun doing so. In using it on Windows, I am finding it to be very buggy. Is that others experience or is it just me?

I tried Open Office a while back and hated it. Problem after problem and the worst thing I found was that when we added a picture to the document and saved it it would save without the picture there and just a blank square was in its place. I tried to find out why it was doing this and even downloaded it from the site again and reinstalled but to no avail. It got removed within a few days and we installed MS Office and since then have stayed with it. As my wife and I are both teachers who work in two different schools, sometimes in the same day, we didn't have time to mess around with it when MS Office had always worked just fine for us. We like trying new stuff but have never used Open Office since and when people ask us about it we steer them well away from it.

I actually like it so far. I can't yet say that it would replace MS Office, but I love that there is an option for open source.
