Is this the start of something new

Well - I am just having to retype everything because I lost my original version so - here we go.....

Is it me? What are all these nings, blogs, pod-casts etc. I thought I was computer literate but I find I am having to drag myself into the 21st century in order to keep up with the young people I work with. Being the manager of a young people education service, I am supposed to be at the forefront of technology - unfortunately, being of the older generation has its own limitations. I have invited all students to suggest a name so that we can create our own social network (although how I go about that I am not sure).

Anyway, this blog thingy - it is obviously some kind of diary (I found that out because I searched on blogs and had a look at some examples - clever me eh!). So hopefully I am doing this right and I will continue to add to it as I go along.

I am a bit wary of joining Second Life but I can see already that it is a fantastic tool for education - it potentially could also be a huge "can of worms".

Anyway, enough for now - lets see if I can save this without making a complete and utter mess of it ...........
