I've been posting about the Vendee Globe for a few months now. I'm hoping that in November 2008 when the sailors leave from France, that students and teachers around the planet will join together to follow this voyage and most importantly to share in this learning experience together. Ten years ago I would never imagine writing this blog post. It was in the past 9 years that I have appreciated the opportunities that are available for teachers and students to share a learning experience. The story unfolds by the hour, and although there are lesson plans and objectives, real world adventures are unpredictable and incredible opportunities for students. Although only one person will be on the Great American 3, there's room for thousands to join in from every place on the planet. Can you imagine the possibilities?
