My son made this list last week:
(Clean room, watch TV, watch movie, play out[side], have fire[campfire], go to bed)
Notice he got most of his list accomplished. Well, actually, his room is NOT clean, but somewhat more picked up. Somewhat. He did do a great job on the watching tv and movie part and he really excelled at playing outside. We didn't have a campfire that night because it was too hot & windy, so he'll have to add that to his next list, and yes, he made it to bed (albeit a little late). Regardless, I was happy to see him beginning to develop that sense of getting a job done and then checking it off the list.
I've had my own list for this summer just floating around in my head. I'm afraid to write it down because it's HUGE and I'm not sure I can get it all done with August lurking just up ahead. Today, I'm making a commitment to write everything down, prioritize, eliminate, and come up with a final list of things I want to get done before the summer ends. (I'm also going to cheat a little and write down some of the things I've already completed just to have that feeling of accomplishment as I check them off the list!)
What about you? What are the top three things still on you summer to do list?
