Yeah, well, this post isn't exactly "Classroom 2.0" material, but it's what's on my heart this evening. Yep, that's my "baby" with the belt sander! She's been a busy girl this week getting projects ready to take to the local 4H Youth Fair. That's a pallet table she's working on in the picture. She took an old pallet and made a really cute painted table out of it. She's hoping we can FIT the thing through the door, around the corner, up the stairs, around another corner, and into her room when all's said and done. She'd like to actually use it as an over-sized desk, but I'm seriously not sure how we're going to get it in the house! Oh well! She's hoping for a blue ribbon at least! She sure worked hard on it.
And THAT'S what's really on my heart this evening. I am just so absolutely PROUD of this girl! Yes, I'm a little biased as her mother, but seriously,
she's one of the hardest workers I know! She gets up bright and early (all summer long) just looking for projects to tackle, chores to complete, or any kind of work that needs to get done. While a lot of kids her age are hanging out at the pool, playing video games, or clicking away on MSN these long summer days (NOT that there's anything inherently wrong with those activities), she's out being all productive. She is driven, determined, and goal-orientated. She is just such a worker and we are SO incredibly blessed!
I don't say it often enough: I'm proud of you, Babe!
Jer 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Love,
Mom
