Today we went to the great "Pumpkin Express." It was both a trick and a treat. Trick - I wanted to stay home and watch the Texas Tech v. Kansas State football game. America had different plans.
Treat - iPhone! I found two great web apps to help me make it to both events.
1) Sportacular iPhone App
"...sneaking away from the haunted house to stay in the loop with scores & highlights."
2)Pixelpipe One of the best apps on the iPhone, in my opinion. I have found many photo sharing apps that let you take a pic from your iphone and upload to flickr, facebook, etc. And they all do what they say, but for the most part the load time is so slow and by the time you add a title and a caption, you've missed great opportunities to capture the moment. Well, with Pixelpipe, the load time and hassle of waiting for images to load is wiped away. Simply use the built in camera app on your iPhone and shoot away... all the pics you want to take on your camera. When you are done, launch Pixelpipe and have it batch load them all up for you or just the one's you want individually. It's so awesome. You can go back in to your Flickr account and edit or modify later. You will love it!
So while on the one hand, I would have liked to see the football game, it would not have scored me any points to say... "go by yourself honey, I'll be fine here in front of the flat screen." (probably not a line you want to use any time soon) But, I was able to enjoy time with the critters, shoot some great fall pics, and keep tabs on the game and all the college weekend football scores.
