I am a future teacher at the wonderful University of Nebraska at Kearney. In many of my Teacher Education courses here at UNK Smartboards are used and i believe that they are very helpful. they make it painless to show PowerPoints or even just to surf the web. I give the Smartboard an A+

Have they used other features? How is it interactive?

SMARTBoards are interactive because they allow the computer to become a touch screen computer. In other words, you use your hand to open, drag, move files or objects around the screen instead of a mouse. The SMART board also has a number of tools to help highlight, annotate over text and pictures and create interactive learning activities.

SMART boards are an excellent tool for enhancing instruction because it provides a medium for students to interact with the content and teachers can easily create and incorporate multimedia into their lessons using the SMART notebook software.
