Technology across the globe survey

Hi, I'm a senior in high school and I am doing a project about technology use in other countries.
I am trying learn about the types of technology that have had the greatest impact on our world as a whole, over the last 10 years, instead of just seeing how technology plays a role in the United States.
I am hoping that I will get responses from people all across the world.

I'm a school teacher in Nepal, land of Mt Everest. I run a school for poor family children of a rural area. Can you share your feelings? We can't think of technology in teaching learning as we are struggling for notebooks and pens. We really desire to know know how technology works in teaching learning but it's beyond our reach. I wish our school children had enough books and pens.
