I'm a senior in the PM class and this is my final draft for the proposals. Tell me what you guys think, if you're in the navigation group.
Navigation
One of our proposals is the Virtual Cable. This lets the driver see a 3-D image of a red line through the windshield. This red line will act like GPS and there’s a computer to enter directions that’s voice activated. The website is it http://www.mvs.net/. There is no price or vendor yet, since the technology is fairly new.
Another proposal is the 7” Manual Indash Car PC Monitor + VGA Touch Screen + GPS Port at www.autodvdgps.com. It has a one year warranty and the site doesn’t tell the manufacturer, but it does say the manufacturer is in China . It has a 4X45W Amplifier Output and two video inputs.
The other proposal is Centrafuse Navigation. This is software with Destinator routing engine, updated maps, and hands-free Bluetooth technology. This includes touch-screen with a web browser, e-mail with Text-to-speech, and a Wi-Fi manager to allow you to connect to different networks. It also has turn-by-turn voice-guided routing, Integrated Navigation by Destinator Technologies, and 2007 TeleAtlas maps for US and Canada for navigation. Its safety features includes rear camera support and OBD-II: Onboard Diagnostics. For entertainment, it has a music player that plays mp3, wav, wma, ogg, ape, flac, aac, and m4a files. Also, it has a video player that plays Avi, QT, MOV, MPG, MPEG, MIV, and WMV files. It has a photo viewer that displays bmp, gif, jpeg, jpg, png, tiff, and emf files. It also has a media manager and XM and Sirius satellite radio. It has a DVD player, audio mixer, AM/FM radio, and iPod support. The Centrafuse Navigation costs $250.00. The website for this is http://store.mp3car.com/Centrafuse_Navigation_p/sof-018-0001.htm.
