End of the Year Technology Projects

I am slow getting up and going, I am currently taking a break from I-Movie. I am making a collage of pictures and video for my class and our first grade buddies to remember their year. Has anyone had their students do this? How did you do it? Did you do any other projects? I am looking for some new ideas next year.

If you are interested in sharing only photos and you are using a Mac, the iPhoto book feature is great. You can make a book of photos and comments. You can purchase soft-bound, hard-bound, or you can print them as a pdf to share. There is also a calendar which is very similar. Our preschool teachers have used this as an end of the year project. I have used them as gifts, they are very great looking. Maybe you know about all of this, if not give it a try. You need to create an account in order to buy at the book.

I like the idea of the iphoto books. Are they expensive? I think that it would also be cool to have groups of students be responsible a different month's highlights for a video or book. It is a journaling of a sort and will make for a unique student perspective on what they value as important events. Plus it takes the work off of you! Got to love it!
