The first question that I have is whether this service will replace Blogger for professional blogs. While many professionals are hesitant to use MySpace as their professional blog, Ning is likely to result in less hesitation.

At this point, I still love my Blogger sites, but with Blogger lagging so far behind other applications in the social tools and structures, I wonder how long I'll remain happy with them.

What do you think?

Hi Dan,
I´ve got some blogs on blogger.com and I think the structure is okay for me. To communicate with participants I´m able to add messangers like YackPack or Meebo ...
However, Ning is a Social Networking Site.

Ning is an online social networking service that has functionalities (affordances) that replicate other online services such as blogs and discussion forums.

With that in mind, what I was getting at was more along the lines of social networking features being beneficial, if not necessary, in other services such as Blogger. If those services don't add this functionality, then how long will they be viable?
