Group vs. Main

Is there anyway to have a discussion show in the Main site when it is started in a group? If not, is it correct etiquette to post it in both locations?

Comment by SusanTsairi on July 5, 2007 at 3:32am: I've been thinking that the groups here have a "Walled Garden" characteristic, and I'm sure that is partly due to the fact that group discussions don't show up on the main page, with the effect that non-members aren't exposed to and can't take part in some of the interesting discussions going on.

Comment by Sharon Betts on July 5, 2007 at 4:40am: Yes, it would be nicer if when a particular topic takes a very interesting turn to be able to open it up to the main site members. I don't believe that is presently possible though.
