I created a PowerPoint WebQuest template based on the San Diego State U. Webquest.org template. You can download this template from SlideShare and use it to create Webquests using PowerPoint. I plan on having my University students work on developing Webquests as an assignment and then publishing them on SlideShare (in the WebQuest Group). Who else is working in this way with SlideShare?

I have also create a SlideShare group called Webquest where my students and others can share what they create. I will also tell my students to tag their slides as Webquests.

Any suggestions as I plan to engage my students in this activity?

Best regards,

James

James, I've been interested in WebQuests for some time and I post a few links to such sites in the library at http://www.tutormentorconnection.org

My goal is to connect with universities where this concept is being taught to recruit students who will create web quests for me, and for others who lead tutor/mentor programs with eLearning strategies.

This can be a learning opportunity for the students, as well as a service opportunity. If you know of folks interested in such collaboration, please create a web quest that leads them to me.

Hi James,
I am a graduate student and one of my goals is to teach teachers at the University level. I enjoyed your PPT on doing Webquests. I am wondering if using a Wikispace with your students who are working together is another way of documenting the work and collaboration that they are doing together.

James,

Have you seen any literature on WebQuest and it's use from a Distance Education standpoint? Or is it mainly used at a K-12 level. While developed by a university, applications I've seen seem to be in the lower grades.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
Donna
