Looking for a play to do at your school?

I wrote two plays while I was directing theater at Inman Kansas and I'm giving away production rights to them for this school year. They were written for the high school level but have been done in various community theaters. I've added Lulu links below where they can be downloaded for free, so if you're looking to save $$ they might be worth a look. What's my motivation? Well a play really isn't alive unless it's being produced and I love to come and see these on stage whenever I can. One of the reasons I wrote these was because I was frustrated because when I wanted to sell videos of a show or if I wanted to make a movie from a script, I needed to purchase rights to do so. It's hard to raise funds with sales of videos if you have to continually pay for rights! If you have additional questions give me a yell.

Blind faith is a two act comedy set at the First Baptist Church in Leary Texas. From potlucks to miracles, this play has fun with rural church culture while weaving a great message. If you like shows like "The Foreigner" you might like this one. My Inman crowds loved it. You can download it for free here.

The action in Three Family Sale unfolds in a shelter house in a park adjacent to a suburban cul-de-sac in Hutchinson Kansas. It is a lovely new neighborhood with one big problem. Among the new, upscale houses is parked a blue and red double-wide trailer (with skirting). It seems this great new neighborhood has sprung up around this unsightly dwelling with old cars, boats and lawn flamingos and it’s going to take everything two families can muster to convince the third family to move away. The show is appropriate for community theater and high schools and uses a simple set and minimal costumes. The cast is flexible and you know where to shop for props! You can download it for free here.
