Now that I'm going back to the classroom after 6 years, I am finally starting to use all the amazing Web 2.0 tools out there that I have just heard/seen people talk about over the years as the Executive Director of
Illinois Computing Educators (ICE). I have to admit that I'm hooked, and I'm am getting more and more excited to start my new job as a Technology Integration Specialist at
Wilmette Junior High School in the fall so that I can start using all these amazing tools with students!
I know I'm a little "behind the times" on this one, but I just created a del.icio.us account. I did not import all my bookmarks...I'm starting from scratch, trying to weed out some of the old garbage I had. As I'm sure you all know, this will continue to develop, but here is what I have so far:

One awesome site I recently found is
http://www.go2web20.net. They call themselves "the complete Web 2.0 directory." Some very cool links here!
I just took a great wiki workshop with Charlene Chausis. A wiki is such a powerful tool! In hindsight, I wish I had created one for ICE...will suggest that for the future.
Hmm, believe it or not this is my first blog post...ever! I'm trying to figure out how to format it, add links, etc. I am using html tags to do this now, but for some reason I thought it was supposed to be easier?!? This Classroom2.0 ning site does not have a built-in html editor for posts...my guess is that other blogging tools do. Jeez, I'm such a newbie!
