I presented for the Mid-America Technology Institute in Bonner Springs, Kansas this past week on Open Source and Web 2.0 Tools. I thought I would post a link to my resources in case any would find the information useful. I used Weebly to create and host my web page. Weebly is a web 2.0 web page and blog creator. (Weebly is similar to Google's Page Creator.) Weebly is very easy to use, but I did lose information a few times before publishing my page. I also used Zoho Sheets to organize my information on open source and web 2.0 tools before creating my webpage. Please note, not all of the resources would be appropriate for student use and this is not meant to be a complete list.
This was the first time I have given this presentation. If you take a look at my resources and see anything that I can add or adjust to make the presenation better, your advise/knowledge would be welcomed!
I'm glad you posted these--At the MTI conference I was only able to come in for a second, hug the wall a bit and then had to leave--wish I could've stayed longer! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for posting these! I have been checking the MTI/MACE site for your presentation materials and haven't been able to find them. I appreciate your list. It sure helps save time when I am trying to find resources for my classroom!
Your welcome. I have added a few more sites to my del.icio.us account since the presentation. And, I forgot to cover the cool scrapbooking website under web 2.0 sites.
I checked the handout page for MTI 2007, too. I do not think anything has been posted yet.
