Digi.raffe and iSURFFers

I am putting the finishing touches on displays for promoting a few ideas I have : Digi.raffe and iSURFFers. I want a student-designed mascot for my classroom. My students all know what it has to be - a giraffe. Digi.raffe is its name for lots of reasons, so I wonder what stories students will come up with on their own. Hmmm- another project-"How Digi.raffe Got its Name". ( I don't know if it is male or female:)

For my students - their new name will be iSURFFers - StUdents Ready For the Future. Another display is promoting the contest to create a logo for our technology classes. Our new name ties right in with the new Web 2.0 tools I have ready for us to experiment and explore together.

Students love mascots and special names. Being part of a group with common interests and knowlege base makes us all feel connected. Thanks to all of the great educators in CR20!
