Flex to create learning resources

Started learning Flex. I had stayed away from Actionscript in the past. As the software I write tend to require a gui interface, I was not much enthused by the timeline and movie clip analogies.



With the move to AS3 (a proper OO language) and the introduction of a XUL like language to rapidly define the interface elements, they got me seriously consider taking the time to learn actionscript. After a few weeks looking into it, they got me persuaded this is something I should learn to good level. I added a concrete example below. Has this shows, you can embed what you create with Flex pretty much anywhere (within a browser, and now also within a standalone application, thanks to the AIR framework).



I set up a gallery with examples of mini-apps or mini-components as I progress in my learning. Everything there is under a Attribution share-alike CC license.



Anybody else here into Flex or interested in Flex. Or is it that I am being far too technical?
