I teach middle school PE and, as most of you know, PE teachers spend most of their days away from their offices and thus, desks. Today, my PE cohort and I were talking about ways to make OUR lives easier in our outdoor classroom. We began discussing what we might be able to do with the new Apple iPad. We use an online grading system called Schoolloop. We would be able to access that instantly, without having to write notes in a grade book and then transfer it online. We could show demonstration video of various skill technique to students to enhance a lesson, keep game rules, lists of teams and game rotations. It seems like there are endless possiblities! When the iPad becomes available, we are going to check out just exactly what we might be able to do. I'm really excited and hope it will work for us. (I just hope our school's wi-fi will reach the fields where our classes meet.)
