Whoaa!! I only joined this site 3 or 4 weeks ago and since then have been on the most amazing journey. I find it hard to believe that I can see some of the wonderful work that people are doing from other countries and that their knowledge, experience and expertise is shared so readily.
I have already contacted people to work on collaborative projects and have loved working via skype with other teachers from USA and NZ to created the shared wiki for our project. My school is reasonable remote - 3 1/2 hours from our capital city of Melbourne so it is not possible to attend many professional development days. Now, I am able to go to this site and learn so much. If only I had the time to sit down for 24 hours or more and really surf around! It is interesting to see the web 2 sites that have been used to create digital movies and presentations and I have since had a play with some of these. We have just purchased digital video iPods for our school and we had trouble getting the videos to play on our iPod even though they readily played on a computer screen. One hour after commencing a discussion item, we had the solution to our problem from the USA. People wont believe me!
Ssan tagged me ages ago and really must do something about that but I am still coming to grips with what that means. However, I am working on it!!
