Nothing Like A Little Rest and Recreation to Cure What Ails Ya

My goals this week are to review internet safety with my older students and begin it with the younger ones. We will be posting our first blogs on Think.com, along with our "4 Slides" slide shows introducing ourselves.

I'm going to ask again why the District hasn't secured and allowed my wifi so we can actually use it! My tablet PC is itching to be implemented. :)

Yesterday was great -- I did some light grading yesterday while listening to a Podiobook. Today I'll still need to do some posting and planning, but I'm ready to face the week mentally. There was breakfast with friends after beginning a bike ride that ended swiftly with my tire blowing out. It was still fun because we just drove to the restaurant--tires and inner tubes were dealt with later. My friend sold me a nice road bike for about 10% of cost, so I am indeed blessed and ready. Hopefully our school bike club will schedule a ride this week. It's really fun to get outside and play with the kids.

Today is the last day of Colorado Springs' Balloon Classic. I didn't attend but you can see them from all over town in the sky. Beautiful!
