What started out as a software tool for his son who has autism, Homeboy has become a cool tool for many children to develop, write and read stories. This program uses three-dimensional characters (wizard, parrot, genie and robot) in combination with Microsoft's text-to-speech application.
When my child clicks on the start-up icon, he sees his favorite character and hears "Hello ______________. Would you like to play?" Disney isn't even doing this yet! I just can't say enough good stuff about Homeboy and really, I'm not easily impressed!
Please try it and consider purchasing a license for only $7.99. This well-worth-it product has my five-year-olds understanding programming and logic basics as well as honing in on words, sentences, writing and listening.
