authorGEN is relatively new concern, trying to create a niche for itself as a complete online education solution provider. It has many products in their intial and early stages of a complete solution.

www.authorgen.com lists authorPOINT, a desktop presentation capturing tool which allows you to capture your video and narrate your powerpoints while it captures the lesson. You can annotate and use pointer on the slides as you do on a blackboard in a class room while the authorPOINT captures those. It then builds the capture into windows media based format and Flash format.

Powerpoint to flash SDK, the second product listed on the site is targetted at developers who can write their own solutions involving powerpoint to flash conversion.

www.authorstream.com provides a free online hosting and sharing service for your lessons based on Powerpoint and also captured from authorPOINT.

www.wiziq.com is a platform where any one can be a teacher and anyone can be a learner. You can register as a teacher and teach your students online through a virtual classroom which has a whiteboard, video/audio communication along with chat. Students can register and search for teachers in their area and learn online.

Now how far this idea, the solution will succeed, only time will tell. For us, we r after it to deliver it.
