A little about Michelle

My name is Michelle Valdez. I am an 8th year teacher in San Antonio ISD. I currently teach 3rd and 4th grade math at Stephen F Austin Academy of Fine Arts. I am EC-4 certified and have taught PK, K, 1st, 3rd and 4th grade. I graduated from UTSA in 1999 with a degree in Interdisciplinary studies. This will be my 3rd semester at SHSU.

I am happily married to my husband Arnold. We will be married for 10 years this October. We have 1 daughter, Leea Renee, who just turned 2 year in August. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and traveling when I have time.

I am was born and raised in Alice, TX and moved to San Antonio in 1994 to come to college. I have been here ever since.

I am really excited to get started again.
