Balancing Control and Protection – How to Achieve a Secure Network

Originally published on The Modern Network

The Modern Network recently spoke with Deena Thomchick, senior manager of Product Marketing in Security Solutions for Juniper Networks, about this week’s Connecticut Education Network Conference and learned about the latest innovations in education technology solutions.

As new threats arise on a daily basis, finding the best network security may seem like a labyrinth.  Thomchick explains that the need to easily implement a system that performs without compromising security is universal.  She helps find a path through the labyrinth as she answers these questions:

  • What are the current threats to your network?
  • How can you stop threats before they compromise your system?
  • What can you do to layer your defense within your network?
  • How do you get the protection you need without adding complexity and expense?
  • How do you protect your system without compromising accessibility?

Deena also explains the universal nature of security ― balancing control and protection.
