We are honoured to be an official partner of NMEICT and NPTEL and have been working closely with them to make this happen.

NMEICT is the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology funded by the MHRD, Govt of India.

NPTEL provides E-learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Science and the humanities streams.

A special thanks to the entire team at NPTEL and the Ministry of Education for creating this repository.

What is My Open Courses?

We offer more than 7500 hours of brilliant content created by the top Indian universities and academics including the IIT's and IISC.

My Open Courses creates an interactive channel for this content which can be accessed free of cost. Students, Faculty and Content Creators can interact on our platform and enhance their skills as well as share knowledge across millions of users.

Why My Open Courses? Why Now?

One of the main reasons of creating this portal is to roll out certification courses which will upgrade the skill sets of our users. We are collaborating with leading universities and offer certification suited to the Indian education landscape.

We also understand that there is a massive shortage of qualified teachers in the higher education space (about 1.2 million) and we will try our best to bridge this gap through our channels. India needs a radical change in the education system - we want to be at the forefront of this change.

Knowledge and Content must be freely available, working towards delivering and executing this is our focus.

The best lectures should be available to all students irrespective of where they are from or where they study.
