Blogs - What Free Internet Blogs Would You Recommend?

Hello,

I am currently participating in a social networking study group. Our first assignment in this group is to explore "free" internet blogs. What blogs would you recommend for elementary as well as middle school/high school students? What kinds of curriculum integration activities have you done with a blog?

I'm using kidblog.org for my intermediate students. We are using it presently for a creative writing project. I recommend this one because first of all it is free and secondly I'm the administrator so I can put controls on the operation of the blog. Also it is easy to upload students and put them in classes or groups. Administratively this can be a pain but well worth the trouble to ensure on task behavior. Hope this helps.

I know your kids are a bit younger, but it is a pretty basic site that allows anyone to create a basic blog. I hope this helps!
