I think that it is extremely important to incorporate both Bloom’s taxonomy and Marzano’s 9 strategies into every lesson. I have learned a lot about both of these tools and continue to learn a lot. I currently incorporate both into my daily instruction; however I don’t think that I use both to their true potential. For example, I’m currently incorporating Marzano’s 9 strategies, but I don’t feel that I’m pushing students to their full potential and I don’t feel like I’m utilizing all the available resources I have. I feel that with all the technology readily available today, I could use a lot more technological tools in my own classroom. I feel that this would get students more excited about learning as students today are obsessed about technology. I also feel that I could use my knowledge about these tools and technological resources to teach other staff about them and how to best implement them in their own classrooms. For example, I could hold mini sessions during PD days or I could send out quick emails with an overview of the tool and potential lesson plan ideas for other teachers.
