I'm doing th Web 2.0 presentation with an elementary computer teacher. But he's going to present first and focus on sample lessons for the elementary teachers. When my turn comes I'll be giving examples for the middle and high school teachers. We met today, and I was disappointed that he had been having problems accessing the PowerPoint and Word files I uploaded to Google Docs -- some problems with Internet speed at school or maybe the firewall and pop-up blockers, who knows.
But we went over the list of tools, and soon started arguing whether some tools are more specific to elementary only, like Tikatok, and others are for the older kids, such as Diigo and Clipmarks. Anyway I suggested Magnolia because some elementary teachers like to compile bookmarks for their students to access for a specific lesson. I know you can import IE Favorites to De.icio.us, and Diigo -- but what about Magnolia? I happen to like its interface better and the fact that we can write a description and rate each URL.
