When creating a character poster and Glogster poster, I noticed some differences in resources, presentation, and appeal. Although I enjoyed designing a character poster, I realized some of the materials needed might not always be available. This type of poster requires paper and lamination materials in order to be used in the classroom. However, I felt the printed character poster has a wide range of uses such as introducing an author to the class. This poster would appeal to those that like words and reading as they look at the words describing the subject being introduced. When compared to the character poster, the Glogster poster's materials were solely based on internet resources. These resources are diverse and available at the click of a button, Therefore, if students are in a computer lab setting, this type of poster is ideal for presenting an idea or topic. However, there is a risk of creating too many stimuli when filling the poster with bold colors and moving pictures. Done in an organized fashion, the implementation of videos and graphics would tremendously benefit those that learn through visuals.
