Times have definitely changed in the way teachers teach, and the ways children learn. I found these videos and articles were very interesting. I am not that old, but times have even changed from when I was in school to now, and the way I teach. I thought the language in which we all speak, or the slang that we use was interesting. I found it interesting that often times we cannot understand the students, and they cannot understand our lingo.

When trying to think if I was a digital immigrant or a digital native I struggled. I am kind of both. I remember when there were not cell phones, and when we used type writers instead of computers. I remember when we actually READ instead of surfing the net for information. However, I am at the age of texting and facebook. I understand it all, and I will still somewhat young when it all happened. So when reading the articles and hearing the arguements, I am on both sides. It is is sad and frustrating to see that children will spend more time on the computer, video games, and cell phones than they will reading a book for enjoyment, or outside playing like children should be.

I think I am really going to enjoy and learn a lot from this class!!
