I found this article to be very interesting. As I was reading through this I was thinking that I am probably a Digital Immigrant. I say this because my first couple of years in college I remember I was still using a word processor to type my papers. In the article it also gave the example of people printing their emails because they do better reading from print instead of the screen. I don't necessarily print my emails but when typing a long paper from class I too print them to edit them instead of editing on the screen. I catch on to technology pretty quickly but definitely wasn't born into it. The question I always ponder when it comes to new technology is how it will help me in the future. As an instructional coach I find this article very interesting because I have teachers that I work with on all levels of the spectrum. I think that the videotaped from K-state would be a great way to get teachers to start reflecting on their instruction and how to make it more relevant and interesting for their students. I think that when introducing new technology to teachers I need to answer the question, how will this technology help me in my classroom, and how will it help me teacher better, and help my students. With that question answered and followed up with a lot of support, most teachers will see the importance of incorporating new means to teaching.
