I like the fact that anybody can publish things on the internet for all to see. Sites like flickr and utube allow people to post and comment on some crazy and often amazing things....maybe more often crazy. I have used utube to learn how to play the banjo but finding exactly what I want is not easy. That we have to filter through what is good and bad or interesting to us can take a lot of time. I think it really contributes to the difficulty I have with these sites. I get tied up looking at things that have nothing to do with my original search - sometimes this is good becuase I find something else of interest but sometimes bad becuase I find nothing at all. I am maybe also easily discouraged/irritated by the silly things that I find and I then lose interest in looking....

Paco,
I think everyone can find filtering as a challenge- especially those of us who are easily distracted! I think knowing how to search is a tool that not many of us understand well enough. I often find myself narrowing a search too much and then not getting anything (as opposed to getting too many results).
I think YouTube is often a hard place to search. I think this is one reason why the district put live searches down as the ultimate no-no. I often don't even use YouTube as my first search option, rather TeacherTube or Goggle. I know Google can often lead you to a good YouTube video.
Hope thing helps, but if anything, I bet Mr. McAllister could help you search better!

I would have to be one of those people that does not know how to search very well....I'm not very efficient anyway. I should try the teacher tube or Drew MC, thanks Dubby!!
