Global Institute for Cybersecurity + Research, Includes K-12 Initative and Cyber Challenges!
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce to you a current initiative underway by the Global Institute for Cybersecurity + Research at Exploration Park/Kennedy Space Center to establish the State of Florida as a National Leader in Cybersecurity Awareness and Career Education. This initiative supports:
- Implementation of statewide cybersecurity awareness and career education programs (K-20)
- Provides opportunities for Florida Community Colleges and Universities to become designated by US DHS and NSA as Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance
- Incorporates Florida into the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), led by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and includes (US DHS, US DOE, US DOL, NSA, NSF, Executive Office of the President)
