In my class, we went over two different forms of media that could be helpful in the class room. We learned how to use Microsoft Excel to make posters and we also learned how to use gloster.

In the Microsoft Excel character poster I learned how to use a program I was familiar with to do something that I did not know it could do. Even though I was very familiar with excel, I learned that I could make multiple pages that flow together with the zoom out feature. One frustrating part was that it was difficult to see the picture after it was enlarged bigger than it was ever supposed to be.  This would be a helpful tool in getting to know your students and helping your students getting to know you. You could also use this for vocab words.

As for the Gloster post, I loved this program. My sister had actually done a school project with Gloster a couple of years ago. She really enjoyed using it!  I was not only using creative skills to learn information, but  I was also able to customize it the way I wanted.  I cared alot about how the end product looked. There was some technical difficulties with Gloster. The videos posted twice, and I was unable to view them without publishing the Glog. To use gloster in my classroom, I could have students pick a historical event and then create a glog about it.

Overall, I was inspired to know my options to creating medias for students to better learn.
