I really struggled creating my Google Site; especially the calendar and editing a pre-made template.  I eventually had to abandon the pre-made template because I could not figure out how to change the picture of the "teacher" nor how to remove "Mrs. Smith's classroom" from the sidebar.  I don't think my site looks too good, the template would have been much better, but I wanted to concentrate on the requirements before I got it to look "pretty."

I like color so I was disappointed that the calendar feature didn't bring over the colors to the site.  Other than that, once I got the calendar embedded, it was easy to add items.  I was a little surprised that after editing the page that you basically only see a square that says calendar until you save and go back to the page.

The form was easy to create using 5 questions, but when I saved it to the site and then tried to edit to add another question I couldn't get past the spreadsheet layout to do so.  If I was more comfortable with it, I could see it being useful to store contact info.  I didn't make a "quiz" to see how that would work but I will if I have more time this week.  The calendar would help me be more efficient so I knew exactly who was going to be in the office and when to schedule training.

I did not know that Google had a Sites feature but I had used the calendar before just as a stand-alone calendar.  I also didn't know that there was instant messaging via Talk which would be a good program to use and easy to do so.
