I'm Laurie Strain, a Library Science grad student beginning my third semester, like most of you.
I feel like I'm operating in slow motion after the summer boot camp semesters. I check daily to make sure I haven't missed a due date. I am looking forward to this class and the YA Lit class with Dr. Lesesne.
I live in Port Aransas, have two 13-year-old daughters, a husband and a zoo of animals.
I work two part-time jobs to pay for tuition and books.
I can't believe I'm blogging because in general, I have an aversion to social networking, blogging, that sort of thing. I don't even like the telephone much. I am gradually learning, though, and have to admit, there are many positive aspects to all of this. it's not as impersonal as I had thought.
I am now going to stop blogging and try to upload a photo.
Hey Laurie,
I'm at TCEA in Austin and remembered that Davina had said you were teaching in TX (guess that was 3-4 years ago), so I looked you up and thought I'd say hi. I'm working for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Been there a bit over 10 years. Love to catch up and hear what you've been up to for the past 20 years or so.
