I took two learning/personality type tests.

The first was a learning type test. I found out that I learn visual/spatially. I would say this is accurate. Typically I like to see how things are done before I can do them. The test also said I learn well with words. I do enjoy writing and believe I have a creative imagination.

The second test I took told me my type was INFP. I have taken this test before and had the same results then. I believe this test is very accurate when it comes to explaining my personality type. I am very introverted, I only enjoy spending time with close friends and relatives...as opposed to large group activities. Group work assignments in class are not my ideal situation. I firmly believe I am intuitive and a feeler.

I truly feel like a healer/idealist. According to these results, I would be well suited to have such careers as a writer or teacher. I feel my personality type will help me bond with students and keep the classroom interesting, allowing kids to express themselves creatively.

Though I am primarily a visual learner, I will have to remember that there are kids in my class who have a hard time paying attention, so sometimes I will have to do more than visual examples.

I'm glad to hear that you've taken one of these inventories before. While taking them once is nice, taking them more than once is even better, because the consistency of the test is - well put to the test, and also helps to examine of or if you've changed since you took the test last. This could be helpful for new teachers, especially if those teachers make it their goal to be more aware of and more intentional about teaching to the other intelligences and learning styles. It's important to be aware of the other modalities, especially when you reach a point of frustration with a particular student or students - it probably has nothing to do with you, it more than likely has to do with approaching the student in a different way, with a different means, and possibly at a different time.
