I'm trying to learn more about using Nings. I have teachers who are using wikis and blogs, but there are a few who may benefit from platform that combines all of these functions. Any recommendations for articles or how-tos?

I just created a ning network for one of our 12'th grade honors English classes. The teacher wanted the students to be able to write journal entries in blogs. She wanted a setup where she could view the blogs on one place. A ning network allows for this. Each student has their own page. On that page they can post a blog entry. Once i showed her the other features (discussion forum, groups, pages etc..) we started to brainstorm a number of other uses.

My teacher wants to do the same thing. Our school site has blogging features but they are more like a discussion forum. I was also to doing a demo on 21classes because a user can have a homepage with multiple accounts but there is limit on free accounts. Blogger using Google reader is just too cumbersome and offers little control.

Our school currently blocks the general Ning site, but you can access direct urls.
