I have not done much on this space for a while. I hope to increase my input now that I understand a little more about the possibilities.

I continue to teach physical science to eighth graders and my goal to this year is to have my students work as hard as I do. I am using a good inquiry based resource from the American Chemical Society, called Inquiry in Action: Investigating Matter Through Inquiry. Link Here

My district seems to be overreacting over a dip in scores. So the pressure seems to come down, I alternate between amusement and anger.

I am teaching the science methods class for Mesa State, and I started a Ning for it. I hope to teach the teachers enough that they will still be teachers in 5 years. Any advice along these lines would be helpful! What do you wish someone told you when you were starting?

What skills did you lack?

For myself I think good time management and organization skills. The thought of me teaching organization is some what intimidating. And funny, ask those who work with me.
