My district recently purchased 10 Mimio interactive white boards and I am piloting one in my class in preparation to facilitate staff development on how all teachers can use the iboard in their room. I teach in the secondary level and so far my students have been engaged and amazed with every interactive lesson. Does anyone know of any good sites to get interactive lessons and maps?

Hi Nathan,
Not an expert by any means - but isn't Promethean software open to any who download it? Is Mimio proprietary? Just an idea as Promethean has many already made lessons. Not sure if they are secondary. Good luck - I'm jealous! You will have so much fun and so will the classes!

You can download lessons prepared by teachers from all over the world, different levels, different subjects... all for free, you just need to register.Go to Promethean Planet.
Our parent club recently bought me a mimio for my 2nd grade class as well. I did a google search for Mimio + Lessons and found these 3 sites to be useful:

Some of these are duplicates to those listed above, but my list is here: http://delicious.com/imcguy/mimio

http://mimioconnect.com has a ton of lessons. Any interactive website/online lesson can be used with the mimio. If you want to become better at using mimio, they have some excellent free online tutorials as well as a mimio Masters course which I highly recommend.
Most interactive lessons should be compatiable with one another. I have not used smartboard, only Mimio. They tell me that they are interchangable. I hope that helps.
