This year is the first year I seem to have a good use of moodle with my students. Do not get me wrong, I have been using moodle for 3 years or so. But now, it seems that my students can pick it up better and less not knowing what to do to start and assignment. That may be because of many years using computers in the classroom. I do believe that programs like moodle will be replacing programs like blackboard. Mainly because it is free and now you can even purchase curriculum for moodle without have to pay per student. Does that sound familiar? Think about the Android OS. Google provides that for free, the apps made for it are free or cost money, the user is free to choose what they want and how to use the phone. With the release of moodle 2.0, I am sure you will see a surge in acceptance with that program. In fact, many high schools have online classes using moodle. Houston ISD a large one that even advertises students enroll for online classes.
