I've always been a guy who likes to use his computer. Somehow, I never got into the social networking world, or the blog world. I'm working to change that now. I'm trying to become familiar with facebook and twitter. I'm typing my first blog post right now. I need to learn for myself and at the same time look to see how I can bring these resources into my classroom. I must admit, when I log into "Classroom 2.0" I feel a little lost, not sure where to look. Perhaps it's because I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for. I clicked into "classroom 2.0 for beginners" but still was looking for direction.
A little bit about myself. I live in Wisconsin. I teach Algebra, Calculus and Physics at the high school level.
I'm going to make it my goal to check in at least once a day and try venturing in different directions. I'm open to any advice that you have for me.

Merle,
Thanks for the input. I appreciate it a lot. I've worked a little trying to get a wiki off the students at the end of this past year. I am on summer right now, so I intend to sit down and sort it out to try to make that work a little better. I had trouble getting students to engage with it.
At the time I wrote my blog post I didn't even know if it was a post under my account at ning, or under my account at Classroom 2.0. I think I've figured out that this is all under Classroom 2.0.
So if I've figured this out correctly you have another group that you've set up exclusively for your students and parents. Is that right? Could I ask what type of assignments you collect through their posts? What grade level do you teach or what subjects? As I had mentioned I teach math. I'm struggling to grasp how I could have them send me assignments as it may be difficult to write them in a digital format. If you have an idea I'd really like to hear about it.
