Began in 1984-After the Birth of my first child- I became a director of an after school program and all day summer program in North Atlanta for school agers K-14.
With little experience or education- I created a curriculum based upon weekly summer themes. I scheduled educational field trips, guest speakers, and art projects to enhance the students cultural understanding and community awareness who attended the program.
During the school year, My after school program emphasized the importance of Homework, outdoor activities, and healthy snacks. I lost that job, after six great years, do to the lack of an educational pedigree.

From 1990-1994, I opened up several Corporate and private Preschools as the Director / Assistant Director and developed a curriculum for children ages infant-kindergarten based upon a developmental age appropriate pedogogic philosophy.

In 1994, a move to Central Florida, and four children ages-infant, five, seven, and eleven- prompted a new evaluation of my educational journey. I began substitute teaching.

In 1999- I completed my BA in Education at USF and added Special Education-K-12 specific learning to my license.
I am certified in Elementary Education, Middle School Integrate Curriculum, Reading, ESOL

In 2009- I completed my Master in Education Leadership at USF.

I want to earn a Doctorate - I do not know what area I want to apply research in. The district I am working in is moving so slowly with technology integration, however there have been improvements. Teachers are over whelmed and mostly not prepared to teach students in the culture we live in. There is not a true understanding in the reality of the world we live in and how technology is changing the way we need to educate students.

I would like some direction. I am very creative, positive, energetic, and willing. I am currently in a position has not helped me develop professionally so I am moving on.

What do you, my collegues, say in response to my Blog?
